  1. Video ads:

According to Forrester’s research,

 “If a picture is worth 1,000 words then a minute video is worth 1.8 million words.”

The appeal of video ads is straightforward and higher than the other two ad formats. People prefer watching a minute of video rather than reading whole text or scrolling images.

Instagram allows brands to showcase their product through video ads. In the beginning, only 30 second videos could be displayed, which is now extended to 60 seconds. This allows brands and marketers to show their product and tell their story in a much more creative manner.

By default, Instagram plays video in auto play mode and without any audio until it’s tapped. Make sure you craft your video like a silent movie; easy to understand even without audio.

Make the first few seconds of your video attractive by including eye-catching visuals that will grab your audience’s attention. These types of ad formats are perfect if you have a story to tell.  

  1. Carousel ads:

Carousel ads add depth to advertising through photos/images. In carousel ads, people can swipe to see additional photos and CTAs provided in a single ad frame.

It is a more effective version of image ads and is accompanied with CTAs to lead audience toward a website for further knowledge.



It allows marketers to tell bigger brand stories through multiple, high quality images. Carousel ads are a collection of multiple pictures rotating through swipes that show different aspects of products or brands.

The carousel ad format is perfect if you are looking for advanced advertising options for your brand. This ad format helps improve the ROI of the brand showcased.
